So bad the Rays bloggers don’t want to talk about it. I chose to go to bed last night after the Rays lost the series to the Braves. Now we all know the Braves are going to the World Series because of the whole Hinske factor, but that doesn’t mean we wanted to see the Rays suck against them.
Steve over at DRaysBay explains how posting after those type of games is really challenging, and the Professor at Rays Index sums up why. We can’t deny it anymore. We hear a sucking sound and it’s the Rays. None of us expected them to be stellar all season, but it’s still pretty painful to watch them fall back to earth. It’s reminiscent of last season when they had the pieces but couldn’t put them together.
What’s a fan to do? Because it’s my nature, I’ll go the glass is half full rout and stay positive. The Rays are still in first place in a fairly tough division. Things could be much worse as long time Rays fans know. The talent is there, it just needs a kick in the ass or something.
Let’s hope the real Rays and their good bats show up in Miami this weekend, otherwise I might have to amend that stay positive decision. Go Rays.

I don’t even think Braves fans expected the Braves to win that series; I know I didn’t. Let’s hope for a rematch in October, okay?
